Sophie's blessing day

Sophie, my niece received her blessing (my in-laws are LDS and it is tradition within the LDS church to bless the babies). Sophie's blessing was beautiful. Then we went back to their house for a yummy brunch.

All Because Two People Fell In Love

Matt and I share a wonderful, fulfilling life with our three children. They teach us each day about love, understanding, curiosity, and pure, natural joy in the world. Our oldest son, Jayden, has severe life-threatening food allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, treenuts, fish and shellfish (plus a couple of others). We manage his food allergies while trying to maintain a normal, active and confident life for our son. He reacts to these foods by touch and ingestion. We face challenges from day to day (who doesn't?!?!), but we have learned many lessons. Our entire family has learned compassion and to appreciate differences in people. Food is to provide energy and nutrition to your body. That is our main lesson to Jayden. With this mind frame he does not feel like he is missing a thing. We talk a lot about not eating just to eat. Eating has a purpose. Leave off the sour cream, mayo and cheese! The meal just became a healthier (and safe) one.
