Makenna's 7th Birthday
Makenna received a package from Nana and Grampa in the mail. She loved her presents and her talking card.
This year for her birthday, she asked if she could go and get a manicure and pedicure with Mommy. The she wanted to go have her pictures taken. It was a great day of fun for Mommy too!

The "baby" in our playgroup turns 5
Nine years ago, in May of 2000, we joined/started a playgroup. Since then we have added three babies (siblings). The youngest of the group just celebrated his fifth birthday. It's crazy how fast the years speed past us.

Fun at 0's 10th birthday
What a fun birthday party to attend. There was laser tag, a bounce area, the pirate's cove, and a huge rink to ride scooters around.
The laser tag vest was very heavy for Makenna. She struggled with it until the game began and then adrenaline took care of the weight.
What could be better than a Pokeball cupcake? Well, that would be an egg, milk, peanut and nut-free cupcake. Have I said how much we love and appreciate our friends?

A birthday package from Uncle Josh and Aunt Jeana
Uncle Josh and Aunt Jeana are so good at knowing our kids. You would never know that there is 2000 miles between us. They started with a Pirate Card.
Continued with a Pokemon stylus for his Nintendo DS.
Chose two great books that Devon's heart has been desiring.
Then finished things up with a book light, bookmark, and a gift card to Starbucks

Devon's 9th birthday party 10/24/08
This year for Devon's birthday, he wanted a Pokemon themed karate party. I think this party was my favorite one in all of Martin family history. His karate Master led 18 boys and girls through karate drills and numerous competitions. The kids were all so focused and into it the entire time. Then we had Fruity Pebble Rice Crispy treats (Devon's choice and super easy), a drawing for books, gave out goodie bags (they had candy and trading cards in them), and opened presents.
